Cap Shapes

Shape is the overall silhouette of a cap. It defines the height of the crown, the structure of the panels, the angle of the front, and the curve (or flatness) of the bill. More than just a fit, a Shape is how a cap sits and wears on a head. It’s what gives each Richardson cap its distinct personality, making it easier to find the cap that feels just right and wears even better.

HOW TO MEASURE

  • Using a tape measure, position it around your head approximately one-half inch above your eyebrows, where your hat will sit.
  • Ensure the tape measure is straight and not twisted to obtain an accurate measurement.
  • If a tape measure isn’t available, use a piece of string to encircle your head, then measure the length of the string with a ruler.
  • If uncertain about the size or in between sizes, opt for the larger size to ensure a comfortable fit.
